Falkirk Tunnel
Brilliant and unassuming, the half-kilometre Falkirk Tunnel runs beneath Slamannan Road just south of Falkirk High. Constructed almost two centuries ago, the canal tunnel was officially used to transport coal, and unofficially used by Victorian doctors to smuggle deceased patients. Nowadays, Falkirk Tunnel is fitted with a gorgeous LED system that colours the tunnel in serene lighting to accompany your walk along the canal.

The Fotheringham Gallery
Established by sisters Claire and Leigh Fotheringham in 1997, this gallery is a step above what you'll typically find in rural Scottish towns. Its collections are more interesting than many commercial galleries found in Edinburgh and Glasgow. Leigh's hand-made jewellery of elegantly drooping silver and striking gemstones - some laden with four-figure price tags, others more affordable - are a highlight. Frames Contemporary Gallery
We started as a picture framers in 1979, and this is still an important part of our business, but we always had a desire to be able to exhibit Contemporary Scottish Artists work. So, in 1991 we moved to our current premises in Perth to allow the holding of larger exhibitions. In 1997 we added a large, purpose built extension to this space to be able to expand the size and range of our exhibitions.
