Helensburgh Leisure Centre
Helensburgh Leisure Centre is situated right on the waterfront of the town. Boasting incredible views for you to appreciate while you workout the facility incorporates a gym; 2 swimming pools; a luxury health suite with steam room and sauna; two modern fitness studios; and a café and shop – all under one roof! The building has various accessible changing areas that are fully compliant with UK Changing Places regulations.
Hermitage Park
Hermitage Park has seen a decline since its heyday when tourists streamed off the steamship to relax and play in its beautifully cultivated gardens. It is thanks to the vision and efforts of the Friends of Hermitage Park, a group of community volunteers, that the park will be transformed so that it can again be a lively centre for recreation and learning.
A new pavilion will be built and historic features such as the A-listed war memorial, Japanese garden and wishing well will be restored. A multi-use sports facility will be introduced and the children’s play area will be moved and upgraded...
The Hill House
Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s architectural masterpiece turns art into a home.
The Hill House is considered to be Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s domestic masterpiece. Commissioned by Glasgow book publisher Walter Blackie, up-and-coming architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh and artist Margaret Macdonald worked collaboratively to create almost everything you see here, from the building itself to the furniture and textiles.
His Majesty's Theatre
His Majesty's Theatre was commissioned to replace Aberdeen's smaller Her Majesty's Theatre. Designed by the great Frank Matcham and opened in 1906, it was refurbished in the early 1930s by local businessman James F Donald, who added external neon lighting to give Aberdeen that hint of Broadway, and a revolving stage. It has received further refurbishments in the early 1980s and 2000s, and supposedly has its own ghost roaming the corridors, named Jake. The theatre receives major touring shows, operas and stand-up comedy.
Holme Hill
Holmehill is a 13 acre green space in the centre of Dunblane. Situated to the east of the River Allan, and overlooking the cathedral, Holmehill is a prominent, attractive, and important landscape feature. Although now well wooded with mature trees, the origin of the name Holmehill – How Maol 'The Hollow of the Bare Hill’ - suggesting a time in history when it may have looked very different.

House for an Art Lover
House for an Art Lover was designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, but he never lived to see it built; construction didn't start until 1989, 60 years after his death. The house was only finished and opened in 1996 when the building exterior and much of the interior and craftworks were completed by Graham Roxburgh's remarkable team of architects, designers, builders and craftsmen. It's now an art museum and charitable company promoting art, design and architecture, with regular exhibitions from Scottish artists and an ongoing adult education programme.
