Charity Garden Opening - Craigfoodie

Unusually, Craigfoodie House sits within its walled garden and the garden itself is on a sloping site, with the view from the upper terraces stretching beyond the garden into the valley below. The walled garden is quartered with its clock lawn, malus lawn, parterre and extensive vegetable garden. There are many individual features - the large herbaceous border, dry rill, mixed borders, espalier fruit, pleached lime hedge and much else. Enjoy the mediterranean-style terraces, informal woodland garden, the grass tennis court and planting of young trees and shrubs (a current development area) and a stroll round the Knoll to its magnificent viewpoint. Craigfoodie has featured on _The Beechgrove Garden_ and in articles in several national magazines.

This is a fundraising event for the open garden charity Scotland’s Gardens Scheme which raises money for hundreds of local charities.
