Music Hall

Music Hall

A variety of events fill Aberdeen's Music Hall's calendar, including comedy, theatre, pop music and classical events, as well as the annual Aberdeen International Youth Festival. Housing anywhere from 1300--1500 audience members, the hall was constructed in 1822 and designed by local architect Archibald Simpson, whose work contributed to Aberdeen's nickname as 'the Granite City'. It is a grade A listed buidling.

Originally the city's Assembly Rooms, it was later opened to the public as a concert hall in 1859, and a major renovation was comepleted in late 2018.

Alongside the main auditorium there is Big Sky Studio seating 100.

The Rondo cafe serves snacks and lunches, and the Rondo restuarant opens (on most occasions) when there is an evening event.
