  • Your Young Scot National Entitlement Card is now all you need to gain access to discounted rail travel within Scotland. 
  • Your Young Scot National Entitlement Card must have both the Young Scot logo on it as well as your photograph.

When can I travel?

  • Minimum spend required if travelling before 10am on a weekday except the months of July and August. 
  • During these peak times you must spend at least £12 on your ticket in order to qualify for discounted fares. 
  • There are no peak time restrictions if you use your SYR to purchase a season ticket.

Highland Railcard

  • 50 Journey Flexipass tickets offer 50 single journeys which can be used over a period of one year between Edinburgh and Glasgow and are transferable.
